Falling in Love with Earth Together

Wild Church YEG is a community of seekers in Edmonton, on Treaty 6 Territory. We meet to reconnect with the web of life, and in joining the conversation with the wild elements around us, find that we are transformed. We gather outdoors on the 3rd Sunday of each month to engage in a worship with the rest of Creation. Worship involves time for reflection, solo nature wandering, and sharing of experiences.

As it is with ecosystems, our diversity is our strength. Wild Church YEG is open to creatures of all ages, abilities, faith traditions, and walks of life.

Our Roots

Wild Church YEG is a ministry of Robertson Wesley United Church. Guided by the Wild Church Movement and the work of Victoria Loorz, we are exploring how nature calls us all into the sacred. We recognize the ecological urgency of reconsidering how to treat our neighbours – even non-human and inanimate neighbours – as kin in God’s creation. In personal conversation with the specific elements of the Earth, we experience the Creator. We have hope that through accepting our part in Creation, we can care for the planet.
